Teenage legend Ferris Bueller played by Matthew Broderick is an uncanny for staying out of school now nine times so far for faking his sickness and for his tenth, he is tired of staying at home at now takes advantage of escaping the house for a day off.

With his principal Rooney played by Jeffrey Jones on his track, he collects his girlfriend Sloane played by Mia Sara and his best friend Cameron played by Alan Ruck and steals Cameron's dad's red-coloured Ferrari and they set off into the middle of Chicago.

The late John Hughes both wrote and directed this as his love letter to Chicago and it shows. I can definitely see why so many eole would add this on one of their best movies ever list but that's as far as I can go.

I didn't even exist in the 1980's but boy after watching this film, I wished to be Ferris myself; every kid wished to be a genius just like he was. A certain technique so many people liked was that he talks to the camera viewing his points as the day goes by and even I'll admit that was clever.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off gets a 10/10.
