Review of FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992) by Marcus W — 30 Jan 2009
A harmless enough "save the rainforest" animated film with all the 90's animated movie cliches happily in place: lots of songs, zany Robin Williams voiced creature and a human learning the error of his ways.
It's certainly not rubbish and I actually really liked the bad guy: a cool mix of Oogie Boogie and Hades...and yet if you watch this then watch something like Mononoke (a film with a similiar theme, but which goes much deeper and further), you can see how lacking this film is.
