Review of FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992) by Nicole G — 22 May 2012

I remember loving this movie when I was a child, but I recently re-watched it and was very disappointed. The animation was fine for its time, but only a few years later Fox put out an amazing movie, Anastasia.

This movie does not even compare. The saving grace is Robin Williams, of course. He was very funny though the entire movie. The music was lacking. The best part of the movie was the message. Save the rain forest.

Even today, we are not too far from this reality...a last rain forest. The world needs to be mindful of such hard facts. Any way, it is a great movie for kids but even as a Disney enthusiast (recognizing this is not Disney, but a competitor) I just did not enjoy it as much as I used to.
