Review of FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992) by Jones K — 28 Dec 2012
This is a movie that yes, it can be corny but it is a good enjoyable movie, which was made to make us be more aware of the environment. This movie had tree fairies that live in the Brazilian rain forest and the main one Crysta wants to know more about humans who used to know the fairies, but they fled when the evil polluting blob named Hexxus almost ruined life in the forest and Fern Gully.
Crysta who doesn't heed the words of her Magi finds a human named Zak and accidently shrinks him when she doesn't have the full control of her powers. At first Zak gets into trouble as he is wanting to know what's happening, but Crysta shows hims Fern Gully and forest and he sees some pretty amazing things that make him appriciate the forest more.
Also I should of said this earlier, but Zak works for a logging company cutting through the forest to make lumber and he sadly marked the tree where the fairies imprisoned Hexxus. So, when the tree is cut down Hexxus is released and wants to destroy Fern Gully.
So, what will Zak and Crysta do when this predicament faces them, you'll have to find out. As you can see, corny story and what not but the animation is cool and you can like some of the actors in this movie.
I would give it a shot. I give it an 8 out of 10.
