Review of Ferdinand (2017) by Brendan S — 22 Dec 2017
John Cena charms as the gentle giant who prefers to stop and smell the flowers versus fighting and Kate McKinnon steals the show as Lupe, the calming goat. The film can't compete with the emotional resonance or technical achievement of Disney / Pixar's COCO, but the sweet story and timeless message of "being who you were born to be" makes this animated adventure worth the trip.
