I remember Denzel talking and talking. I remember Viola Davis screaming and spitting. Don't get me wrong, I really liked this film. But in my mind there are only 2 exact scenes that set an absolutely crazy standard, only to be followed by.
..I wouldn't call it mediocrity, but I would call it normality. Had the film been on the same level as those 2 scenes I would've called it a masterpiece. A really good performance from Denzel, but God ! He kept talking and talking.
Huge performance from Viola and we all know by now she's surely getting an oscar. Another note, is that we kept hearing about what happened in the film instead of seeing for ourselves. Which kinda tool a little out of the film.
Anyway, I would still recommend checking it out.
