4/5. Fences could be called Denzel is a Jerk: The Movie, But, that said, the performances are incredible and do a great job elevating the material from the stage to the screen, The only problem is, due to the nature of the source material, Fences can't get as cinematic as I like my movies, but Fences is still absolutely solid.
