Review of Female Trouble (1976) by Dave G — 26 Nov 2008
It's pretty much impossible for John Waters to top "Pink Flamingos" when it comes to trash and exploitation, thankfully, and this makes "Female Trouble" just a LITTLE easier to watch. It's got MORE of a story this time around, but the downside is that it's not as MEMORABLE of a story, and somehow feels too long, even at only 92 minutes. Still, not every day that one gets to watch a drag peformer play both the teenaged female rape victim AND middle aged-male rapist in the same scene.
"Where are my cha-cha heels?".
