Review of Felicia's Journey (1999) by Jeff B — 26 May 2007
The most humane and compassionate portrait of a serial killer since M. Bob Hoskins, normally seen as a cockney thug, plays the sweetest, loneliest man in the world in this film, and the result is enough to reduce you to tears.
Egoyan's investigative style works quite well here, as always he uses it as a tool to unravel his characters and why they are the way they are. It's no Sweet Hereafter but it's well worth seeing.
