Review of Feast of Love (2007) by Melvin K — 07 Mar 2008
I Liked it for the most part. I know this is wrong, but I had to say I was turned off that Morgan Freeman had a white wife and the film and almost didn't rent it for that reason. But, as a black woman, I liked it despite my racist tendencies.
The only thing I thought was that they kind of zipped it up the plot quickly at the end. It was like "and look now they are all friends" whereas I think it would have been nice to see how such and unusual relationship came together, but maybe that's just me.
And I love Morgan Freeman as the all knowing genie of the lamp. The introspective and receptive father figure. *sighs*.
