Review of Feast of Love (2007) by Brooke H — 26 Mar 2008
I wasn't prepared for how sad this film is. Aptly titled, this emotionally voluptuous movie carries you through love in all its aspects -- the sweet and the painful, the climactic and the everyday -- and ultimately gives you, the audience, reason to both despair and rejoice, often at the same time.
Beautiful performances from a remarkable cast (especially, of course, from Morgan Freeman, who could transform a recitation of the yellow pages into visual and aural art) make all this emotion possible.
