Review of Feast of Love (2007) by Craig C — 27 Apr 2008
I really enjoyed this film... I settled in from the start, and just went along for the ride. It has a nice, steady pace, perhaps a bit slow, but thoughtful and methodical nonetheless. A beautiful tapestry of characters (all wonderfully portrayed by a talented cast) connected through a series of nicely woven story lines.
Morgan Freeman, as usual, is the epitome of thespian brilliance -- seriously, the man could play the part of a tree and still induce awe with his talents. I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more development of the characters, but what little was there was sufficiently adequate to connect with the characters and move the story along.
All in all, while it's not a new favorite, it was certainly enjoyable, and that's enough for me.
