Review.

When it comes to campy movies I usually rate them pretty tough but there was something about this film that I really enjoyed. Now if you ask me what that is I would probably have to tell you that I am not really quite sure. Campy movies can only be taken one way and that is not seriously. The film starts off in a crappy desert bar where the patrons seem to be the dregs of society. An introduction of all the players of the movie with a brief synopsis of what to expect from them during the film was a neat touch. The film gives you a short but all you really need look into these peoples affairs. One thing to note that I did not enjoy was for some reason the actor Jason Mews (From Jay and Silent Bob fame) was in the movie playing himself. His presence was confusing and his role was miscast at best. Even though he has limited screen time I still ask the question what was the director thinking. The film takes off quite quickly as we are introduced to the films hero and what I can only say as Halloween costume monsters. The introduction of these monsters was a torrid affair of blood spray, guts, gore and for some reason a small monster humping the moose head on the wall. This film will keep you on your toes and if you can get past the crappiness of the monsters you will probably enjoy this well put together film. The film is basically humans versus monsters with the humans trying to survive and the monsters obviously trying to consume the humans. Locked up in this bar the humans are picked off one by one in all varying degrees of death. One guy is covered in slime and slowly decomposes while another is forced to give fellatio and then blown up by a make shift bomb. The film will never stop surprising you as none of the humans are safe. Comic relief is supplied by the monsters having sex to produce offspring and using one of the humans as a battering ram. This is campy to a tee as it is the perfect amount of sex and blood you would come to expect from a film of this caliber. A perfect reflection of society this group doesnâ??t band together instead it feuds and schemes and breaks down in a more realistic nature then most other films of today. The film does drag from time to time and some dialogue and action sequences are beyond even campy but this film entertained me from start to finish. This movie is not for the faint of heart as there is some over the top sequences that may leave some people shocked. The last stand off for their lives pits the humans with what little weapons they have left against these vicious monsters and it brings together the movie quite nicely. I am going to have to give this movie my recommendation and while it pains me to do so if all b grade horror could be done in the same style as Feast I might have to change my overall views on the genre.

T Factor + If you like campy films this could score higher on the rating scale.

T Factor â?? Do not like campy films this could score lower on the rating scale.

If you liked this film reel recommendations: From Dusk Till Dawn, Cabin Fever.
