Review of Feast (2005) by Jeffrey L — 04 Oct 2008
This horror comedy about a group of mysterious monsters attacking a highway bar in the middle of the dessert is not only funny and scary at the same time, but also FULL of blood and shocking, unexpected gore.
It takes pretty much every horror cliche' and throws them out the door, killing those you expect to live and keeping alive those you expect to die.
I also love how they don't reveal where the monsters come from or how they came to be - we only know what the characters in the movie know. I also loved how we only got quick glimpses of the creatures, reserving a full look until the very end.
All in all, I say this is now one of my all-time favorite horror movies.
