Review of Fearless (2006) by Janice P — 19 Mar 2009

This was a real stunner to me. i've always been a jet li fan but his english-themed movies in the past decade have thoroughly disappointed me so I haven't really seen anything of his, until "fearless" 2 nights ago.

I have to say, I loved it!!! the story, albeit rather predictable, was strewn out quite carefully and it was breathtaking to see jet li play a character he is always good at -- the unconventional hero.

the fight scenes are so kick ass, especially the last fight between him and the japanese warrior (.ps. to see a chinese wushu master duel it out with a japanese martial artist is the best thing i've seen in airplane tv! yay! go asians!!!).

but yeah, this was such a great movie that teaches us about humility, restraint, and the paradox to the quest for greatness. =).
