Maybe it was because I had to read the subtitles throughout, but I didn't really like this movie. Jet Li's character was not likeable, especially at the beginning of the movie, his need for victory not fully explained.
The part where he goes off to the small village is bizarre, and his crusade against Western influence seems unnecessary, he never before cared about chinese nationalism, and the europeans did not do anything to him.
