Review of Fearless (1993) by Fred B — 30 Jun 2007
A weird and at times confusing look at how different people are affected by a tragic incident. The film has its high points, Jeff Bridges as ever gives an interesting performance and his screen time is not wasted, John Turturro takes one of his quieter roles in his stride, the only one who doesn't seem right in this film is Isabella Rossellini.
From what I've seen of her she can be a good actress, but she seems out of place in this film, not quite getting hold of her character. The film's pace is at times too slow, but when it gets to key points it executes them perfectly, the story is good, but the ending left me slightly confused and wondering what made it so special.
Watching it again may make me understand it a little more, but it also may make me even more confused. I shall wait and see.
