Wow. I mean...WOW. Someone told me once that this had a sad ending, and boy were they right. But I think I saw it sad for a different reason than most others. The ending is a tear-jerking scene, but - spoilers ahead - the protagonist survives the entire movie, but when he's really about to die, he still lives.
This will happen again, so is living really something he truly wanted? I dunno, I'm totally overanalyzing this. I really, REALLY wish that this was more well-known and...gosh, WOW!
