Review of FearDotCom (2002) by George I — 09 Aug 2011
The problem with feardotcom is not that it's bad - there are a lot of movies out there that sucks even more balls that this one, but most of them at least have a simple story, even if most of the times it's full of plot holes and incoherences. This one, however, manages to combine so much problems revolving around the story that the whole thing is even harder to understand than the ending of Tim Burton's planet of the apes, with a complicated, incomprehensible story that runs in all directions and loses itself in its own complexity of pure non-sense.
If only the movie just had a crappy story and managed to excel or even be slightly good at one point, it would be worth watching, even for a good laugh, but no, the film is both incredibly stupid and incredibly boring. If you are looking for one of those movies that you are supposed to take seriously but are much better when watched as unintentional comedy, skip this one because you will only find here a terrifyingly bad The Ring ripoff that doesn't even manage to make you laugh out of its stupidity.
