Review of Fear X (2003) by Private U — 05 Jan 2008
Let me get this out of the way before I discuss anything else. This movie looks like David Lynch made it. In fact, the lamps, the colors of the sets, and the scene with the woman in the hotel room appear to be an homage to Lynch's work.
Okay. Moving on. This film teaches a very important lesson: There is no reason to justify the past, because it cannot be changed. It is far more wise to justify the present, while there is still a chance to make things right.
Only when this reality is accepted can a man let go of his theories, and his fervent need for closure. Yet... He touches it, he looks it in the eye... But for what? I'm rambling. All in all, this is a very contemplative and moving work with great cinematography.
I obviously can't explain how it made me feel.
