No where near as enjoyably endearing as 1996 but still a solid retro camp slasher all the same. 1978 does for Friday The 13th fans what 1996 done for Scream geeks; pumping out plenty of enjoyable summer-camp carnage to make up for the lack of verve so prominent in Fear Street’s first outing.
