Review of Fear Street: 1666 (2021) by Muldjord — 20 Jul 2021
To me this is by far the most interesting of the 3 movies. I was quite bored watching the first two, as the narrative in those was spread way too thin over the running time of the movies. They were more about running away from things than they were about explaining the story.
But this one makes up for that. 1666 has a quite interesting narrative almost throughout. And on top of that it is also pretty well-made and acted. I have no idea if they nail the accents as I am not a native speaker, but it sounded right to me except for a few scenes where they seemed to almost forget them. But overall the acting is pretty good. In certain scenes even excellent.
Without spoiling anything I will say that it is a fitting and interesting ending to the trilogy.
