Review of Fear of Fear (1975) by Bomb C — 09 Nov 2007
Fassbinder is genious in expressing the impossible love turned possible in this German post-war film. His filmic strategies emphasize the emotions that run through his characters who are affected by the social and political turmoil during this time.
You hear his message through his shots which are magnetic and executed with finesse. The camera dances alongside the characters, allowing the viewers to not only hear what Fassbinder is saying, but to feel it too.
