Review of Fear of Fear (1975) by Reid V — 01 Apr 2011
Rainer Werner Fassbinder's Fear Eats the Soul is probably his most easiest film to watch, with a simple plot, an old woman named Emmi who falls in love with a much younger moroccan worker simply named Ali.
They decides to get married. Many of Emmi closes friends and even her own family is horrified and they stop talking to her. She feels all alone, while she is unable to satisfy her husband sexually. Fear Eats the Soul is after my opinion Fassbinder's least hardest film to watch.
The acting preformance are good, and is not as dark as any of his orther pictures. Thumbs up.
