Predictable, even as it tries so hard not to be.
Following a concept seen before in The Houses October Built, wherein a man's quest to be frightened leads to his downfall, this movie tries too hard to be self aware, incorporating a slew of horror tropes into a single movie, where the premise just falls flat.
