Review of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) by Karl N — 18 Dec 2012
This is one of those movies that people either really love or really hate. I personally think this movie is an all around good time, nothing to be taken too seriously or too lighthearted. Though, it does have weaker moments Fear and Loathing boasts superb performances from both Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro as the drug riddled journalist and lawyer duo.
A great cameo cast also helps the film become that much more enjoyable. It's edgy, trippy, creative, artistic and psychedelic, what more do you want in a Terry Gilliam film?!?! Anyone who does not like this film obviously does not understand the great work of the late Hunter S.
Thompson.
