Haven't read the novel so not really sure what the true subject matter was only that it had to do with the early 70s counter culture....This movie is brilliantly acted and hard to watch at times because it makes no sense.
..it's just a drug crazed weekend. Del Toro and Depp make up for a strange film with top notch performances.
