Painfully overratted. Some funny bits, but starts nowhere and goes nowhere. If anything, an education into drug fueled depravities, on the most dramatic of scales. This film tries way too hard to capture druggos and their so called cult status.

Del Toro and Depp don't lose face though, trying as hard as they can to capture their characters through an almost scriptless film.
