Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro give outstanding performance as famed Gonzo writer, Hunter S. Tompson and Dr. Gonzo. Admittedly, since drug influence is such a big part of the films visuals (based on the novels experiences) you start to feel like your on acid--or what I imagine being on acid would be.
If you have read the book, you will love the movie.
