In a word, crazy...
Gilliam does a stellar job of illustrating the insanity of Hunter S Thompson and Depp is clearly having a blast. The visuals are terrific and Del Toro's Dr Gonzo is a fascinating watch. Whilst the film doesn't really have a story to tell, it helps to capture a moment in time..
