As a child, his dad commits suicide and his mom goes crazy as a result. His baseball coaches subsequent interest in him turns into sexual abuse. As an adult he is an aging AA minor league baseball player with a bum knee who dreams of making it to the majors.

His teammates ridicule and mock him. The local law authorities beat him up -- and his abusive childhood coach shoots him with the VERY gun his father used to kill himself. And everything else about the film is equally silly.
