Review of Faults (2014) by Hugo G — 08 Mar 2015
6.3/10.
Faults had a quite interesting story with a lot of potential, specially going on the cults route, but in the end it was more of a kind control game than an actual mystery movie. Which I was looking for. Still, the two main performances were great. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Leland Orser were excellent in their respective roles. And so, the movie had enough black comedy to distract you from how little there was going on, and even the seemingly plot twists didn't felt very shocking. Therefore, it was entertaining but not as mysterious as I hoped for.
