Review of Faults (2014) by Shaun T — 07 Aug 2015
This film was better than expected. Stearns developed a loveable character in Ansel Roth has an identity which is compromised by the seeming failure of his published book. His desperation to repay debt in addition to a sincere desire to maintain hope about his ability to deprogram cult members made the film.
Clare's role remained unclear until the end, but the level of interest in her waned toward the end of the movie. Though this was likely a low budget film, the acting was well above average. The story became too predictable toward the end of the film and its closing seemed undeserved.
An alternate ending would have greatly added value to an already worthwhile watch.
