Review of Fatty Drives the Bus (1999) by Nathan K — 16 Aug 2008
Definitely one of the best no-budget comedies Ive ever seen because its unique style of comedy that I haven't really seen utilized before. The plot is as follows: Satan goes up to Earth to claim the souls of the passengers on a tour bus in Portland, er Chicago, but he is given a hard time by action hero Jesus Christ (who's constantly accompanied by a funk soundtrack) who is visiting town.
But Satan also didn't count on the bus passengers being such weird mothertruckers. All of them have bizarre personality traits and this plays a lot into the awkward comedy stylings. It's clearly a labor of love from those involved and I wish that it was more well known.
Good stuff for those in the mood for something different.
