Review of Fathers and Daughters (2015) by Michael R — 03 Feb 2017
I thought this was a poor realisation of a potentially interesting subject. The actors had potential but the very contrived story-line and heavy-handed direction made watching this an irritating experience.
The staple Very Important Man goes off the rails is tiring as was there vast living spaces in New York whilst fighting depression through bankruptcy> I didn't get the feeling of much true disclosure of parenthood.
Everyone felt like an orphan of thoughtfulness and snappiness both. Could have been vastly better if someone had put some real heart and mind into it.
