The movie never balances the tone well. One moment there are some classic Kevin Hart humour, like the scene where young Maddy pukes on Matt and another guy on the plane. Another moment sees Matt and Maddy have heart to Hart (sorry) conversations.
It's not really comedy-drama, more like drama, then comedy, and drama again.
