Review of Fatal Attraction (1987) by Bradley W — 06 Jun 2012
Fatal Attraction is a thrilling and smart film, but also faults by having its main male character seem like a nice guy. This man does not deserve pity and a good personality, a man with a great personality is not believable as the cheating type.
But besides tis, I felt the film was very scary at times and had a wonderful cast. Glenn Close plays a incredible performance, I mean just the look in her crazed face gives me goosebumps. Anne Archer was wonderful as the good and faithful wife, and her reaction to her husband's affair was a brilliant scene thanks to her great performance.
Michael Douglas has a very odd character, but for what it was I enjoyed his performance as well. This film is no masterpiece, but the character of Alex Forrest is a masterful character and a probably could be described as the perfect antagonist.
A good film that will save your marriage.
