Review of Fatal Attraction (1987) by Jacob B — 07 Oct 2013
A lot of people wonder why this movie got Best Picture or Best Director nomination's at the Oscar's...well at that time, Fatal Attraction was more chilly, terrifying, haunting, and better, which made it a classic.
Glenn Close was terrifying, you usually see women like that know in movies, but her character was scary and crazy, she never stopped, which made her performance nothing but spectacular. I'm pretty sure this was the film Michael Douglas became the guy who would be with many femme fatale characters (Sharon Stone, Glenn Close, Demi Moore, etc.
) and he was sharp like a pencil. The screenplay was also great, but I just thought the atmosphere, Glenn Close's performance, the music and the direction was what made this movie not only an Oscar nominated film, but a classic chilling story about a women who is obsessed, genius work.
