Review of Fat Girl (2001) by Jennifer O — 28 Feb 2008

I wanted to like this movie much more than I did. It deals well with its subject matter and is brutally honest, but towards the end I found it EXCRUCIATINGLY slow. I just wanted it to be over already. The ending was indeed needlessly over-the-top, but I liked the aftermath. I think it made an important point.

I would edit this movie down to about 45 minutes and use it as an educational tool for young girls ready to explore their budding sexuality. The truth is brutal.
