Predictable action/revenge film about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson killing the gang that killed his brother is surprisingly pensive and entertaining due to some very convicted performances by the two main actors, Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton.

Some great action sequences hold your interest and when the movie doesn't follow typical revenge cliches, it gets pretty suspenseful. Unfortunately the third act falls flat and in the end, there's not much that makes this movie memorable.

While you're unlikely to be able to remember this movie a week after seeing it, it's mostly entertaining while you watch it so I give it a marginal recommendation for those who like their revenge flicks slow, intense, and thoughtful.
