Review of Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) by Nik B — 14 Jun 2009
One of the most important movies of the 1980s. It addressed every social phenomenon of early 80's pre-AIDS youth. Drug use was fine unless you smoked it everyday for a month. She wanted it more than you did. Abortions were easy and fun to get. Your girlfriend will leave you just as soon as you really need her. The Platt amendment is the most important piece of legislation in the nation's history. All you needed was some tasty waves, a cool buzz and you'll be fine. And most importantly, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.
Oh yeah, girls: if you love your man, give him the experience of walking up to him in a red bikini with the latch in front and tell him how cute you always thought he was. A man deserves that.
