Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Ben K — 30 Mar 2008
I think the subject matter needs to be discussed. It is interesting the illegal immigration component so heavily portrayed. However, as a film, I think it's terrible. It's full of explicit scenes that were unnecessary and added nothing to the story.
Also, there is no really a well developed story, but more a collection of vignettes where characters are placed on certain situations only so they can say their lines, which felt unnatural and awkward.
A well done documentary will serve the subject matter better.
