Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Rosemarie S — 17 Apr 2008
A gritty, multi-layered film that takes a close look at Fast Food in America, from the slaughterhouse, to the teenage shift workers at the fast food restaurants, and all the way up to the presidents and CEOs in charge at the company.
All star cast... great directing... but it leaves you with a "meh" feeling, because there really is nothing that can be done to solve the issues addressed in the movie. The bottom line is always money, it's true.
Nobody, especially big corporations, give a fuck about human rights, animal rights, or morality in general. Watch for a great part with Ethan Hawke, and a rather lame segment with Avril Lavigne.
