I watched the first 45 minutes of this movie and when there was still no plot to speak of, I had to call it quits. There are a lot of random throwaway scenes that I can't imagine needed to be there.
Why do we see a girl pull her car out of the driveway and then walk to her locker at school, then cut away to something else and for 10 minutes? It's pointless; just cut back to her later at school.
.. I don't get what this movie was going for, which is sad because I like Linklater otherwise.
