Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Gretchen S — 13 Feb 2009
This is an entertaining yet bleak film made for mainstream America. The nonfiction expose' , Fast Food Nation, is a fact-filled yet rather dryly-written book about how the fast-food industry has saturated our culture.
This film takes those facts and themes and translates them to an accessible form of media. Those who review this film as a "movie" are clearly missing the point. The acting is convincing (even by Avril Lavigne!) and the characters are intriguing and true-to-life.
In the end, the point is made: our nation is built on immorality conceived by the almighty dollar.
