Review of Fast Five (2011) by Dane C — 28 Jun 2013
A gripping tale of friendship, loyalty, and honor, this action packed thriller revs up the intensity and burns full throttle from start to finish. Duane Johnson's manship with Mr. Diesel will tickle your heart strings throughout, while the film retains enough masculinity to keep your adrenaline running on all cylinders.
Beautiful Rio is the ideal setting to contrast with Vin Diesel's no nonsense persona and Paul Walker's boyish charm. A lack of nudity is the only thing preventing this instant classic from earning the second half of that elusive 5th star.
If my predictive powers serve me well, and they always do, Fast Five will rank somewhere between Blood Sport and Death Wish 3 solidifying its place as an all time great.
