Review of Fast, Cheap & Out of Control (1997) by Amanda B — 01 Sep 2007
I think I am in love with the man who talks about his robots. The idea of what makes a robot work on the moon, and teaching something not to 'walk,' but to 'not fall down' is brilliant.
Also, topiary. And tigers. And MOLE RATS! An early, fairly succesful example of disparate juxpositional elements creating one clear meditation on existance, struggle and survival. Yeah, and this was back in 1997 and I still remember it.
