JUST GREAT!!!
....for what it is. Justin Lin continues to hone and display his prowess as a storyteller, even with material that could easily have been direct to video garbage.
The "car guy" in me wanted to love it, the escapist in me wanted to enjoy it and Justin Lin's marvelous direction and attention to the REAL story details helped make it happen for me.
This franchise is a perfect example of what can be achieved when ultimate consideration is given first to intrinsic story detail, even in the face of WAY over the top activity.
