Review of Fargo (1952) by Luke G — 26 Jul 2013
Fargo, North Dakota and Minneapolis, Minnesota provide the setting to this murder mystery. Fargo is a fantastic Coen Brother film that combines the quirk of dark humor with gruesome gore all while creating an intriguing plot for audiences everywhere.
The Academy Award winning performance from Frances McDormand as Marge Gunderson should go down in the books as a performance that is truly unforgettable. McDormand combines her humor with the necessary serious characteristics a police officer must have.
Fargo's academy award winning screenplay, written by the Coen Brothers, provides many a laugh at the quirky North Dakota dialect while keeping the suspense of the many homicides that engulf these two cities.
Fargo is a spectacle that goes down in the books as one of the best films of all time.
