'Far From the Madding Crowd' looks beautiful and it is passionately acted. It is not very solid material to begin with but Carey Mulligan shines with her beauty, grace and subtle acting prowess.
Also remember the name Matthias Schoenaerts, for he is building a very promising acting career. Tom Sturridge comes off stiff due to his one note character but this loopy movie is entertaining.
